USPS Delivery Delays

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is struggling with increased package volume and decreased revenue, each of which is related to COVID-19. The Washington Post reports the USPS is limiting overtime to conserve cash. This increases the chance of delivery delays.

Southern Roots Spice continues to use the USPS because it is affordable and dependable, despite longer delivery times in many cases. Most of our free shipping is delivered by the USPS, this includes our SPICEJOURNEY free shipping on orders over $75. Unfortunately, these economy shipping services are the most prone to delay.

To minimize the chance of delivery delays, we encourage customers to select paid options including USPS First Class and USPS Priority. These services are running without delay in most cases. UPS Ground is reliable and cost effective for larger orders.

Our site displays the best shipping options for each order based on the weight of the order. Not all shipping options will display for every order.
