Celebrate Pride & National Iced Tea Month - June 2023

So there are two schools of thought on the origin of iced tea. According to legend, it was first served at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri, by a tea plantation owner named Richard Blechynden. He was trying to promote his tea, but the hot weather was making it difficult to attract customers. So, he decided to serve the tea over ice, and it became an instant hit.

Southern Sweet Iced Tea

The other belief suggests that iced tea was first created in the southern United States, where it was popularized as a refreshing drink during the hot summer months. That's the version we believe at Southern Roots Spice!! Regardless of its origins, iced tea has become a beloved beverage around the world, with many variations and flavors available.

The options are endless with herbal, black and green tea. We love blending well balanced tea combination where you can taste and enjoy all the essence in your cup.
