Mexican Oregano is from a different plant, indigenous to Mexico which gives it a much more stronger flavor than the common Italian and Greek oreganos. Not apart of the mint family closer related to vervain. It's notes are citrus and mild licorice.

Oregano is great on many things. It's used with roasted, fried or grilled vegetables, meat or fish. Oregano is used in sauces, tomato dishes, pizza, Mexican dishes salads and soups. Add the oregano toward the end of the cooking process to help maximize its natural flavor.
