Member of the mint family, originating in the Mediterranean. Dalmatian Sage has a strong aroma and earthy flavor. Sage is quite simply, dried sage leaves that have been rubbed into a fine, fluffy powder.
Used in sausage and stuffing. Works well with pork, wild game, chicken and turkey, or anything with a hint of apple flavor. Used as a substitute for ground, dried, or fresh sage.
